Coming back home

My entry for the World Map contest in the group.
I never seriously drawn a background before… I decided to entry this contest only because of ~DarkRinoa88, who intensely asked me for

It’s a landscape from Winhill, from Final Fantasy VIII. Laguna and Ellone are going back home after the end of the events narrated in the game.
I always liked this town. Winhill is so nice and calm!
At the beginning I planned to draw the town’s square, but I changed my mind. In the past, the stairs weren’t there yet, so I thought this place showed the flown of time better.

I used watercolours for this drawing. They are not my favourite tools, but I actually enjoyed making this Unfortunately, the colours of my scanned drawing were different from the original, so I tried to adjust it with the GIMP.

PS: Rinoa, vedi di non chiedermi più robe del genere, ormai vedo rocce da tutte le parti >,< ah, e lo so, Laguna ed Ellione sono venuti due ciospi informi, ma è difficile fare i dettagli con le matite acquerellabili... mi sa che loro due avrei dovuto farli a penna XP
